Start developing your “AI taste”.
You’ve probably heard Linus Torvalds talk about how “taste” is crucial for writing good code.
I’m convinced the same thing applies to AI.
I tell people all the time: mastering these tools isn’t about memorizing a specific “how-to” guide. It’s about building a gut feeling for it.
It’s knowing instinctively when you need to sit down and plan out a prompt versus when a quick message will do the trick, or knowing when a generic agent is fine versus when you need a specific agent persona to get the job done.
Here’s the thing: tools change every week. Whatever “trick” you learn today will probably be old news in six months. But taste sticks with you. It’s what helps you make the right calls and stay ahead of the curve, no matter what the tech looks like next year.
